One man was arrested after crashing his car into a house in southeast Fresno on Monday afternoon.
Fresno police said the driver, Jason Tirey, 33, of Fresno was driving a Toyota Camry traveling west on Belmont Avenue when, according to witnesses, he veered to the right to avoid crashing into stopped traffic but ended up crashing his vehicle into a home.
Tirey then began to run from the scene at the corner of Belmont and Second Street while holding an open beer can, but police arrested him just down the street.
The suspect faces a charge of hit and run, DUI and resisting arrest, police said.
