Two boys, one of whom is on probation for making threats with a gun on social media, were arrested Friday morning in central Fresno for the beating and robbery of another boy last week.
The arrest took place at East Clay and North Clark avenues about 9:30 a.m. as several officers swooped in on the suspects.
Sgt. James Fowler said the robbery took place May 26 at Terronez Middle School on Willow Avenue in southeast Fresno. Fowler said the robbery happened at nearby Church and Laureen avenues after school. One of the 14-year-old boys took the 13-year-old victim to the ground, punched him repeatedly and took his shoes.
Fowler said one boy had previously been arrested for the internet threats after officers went to his home where they found a replica firearm. While at the home, officers arrested his mother for possession of narcotics.
