Top boys teams, runners to watch: Buchanan senior defending champ C.J. Albertson, top-ranked in state D-I; team clash of Stockdale vs. Buchanan, Nos. 5 and 7 in state D-I; Madera South, ranked No. 3 in D-II.

Girls: D-I duel between Bullard's Ali Teliha and Buchanan's Hagen Reedy, who placed 4-5 in last spring's section track 1,600. At last season's section D-I cross country final, Reedy was second (18:31), Teliha fifth (18:52). Buchanan has won 11 straight D-I girls titles.
Clovis North, D-II runaway champ last year, returns Leigh Moffett, who placed second as a freshman at 18:57.
