American's Finest City Tournament: Brent Teraoka and Max Cusator scored three goals apiece as Buchanan defeated Santiago-Corona 13-9 for 13th-place at the 32-team tournament in San Diego. The Bears (10-3) split two earlier games, getting three goals from Adam Palecek and 12 saves from Taylor Smith in a 9-1 win over Mira Costa-Manhattan Beach, while Palecek scored seven times in a 13-12 loss to Davis.

Madera Classic: Symone Hayden was named the MVP while teammates Morgan Dose and Lauren Garcia were selected to the all-tournament team after Central, ranked seventh in the Central Section by The Bee, defeated Division II No. 2 Madera 25-14, 27-25 in the Gold Division final.
Independence beat Madera South 25-14, 25-21 for third place.
Beach Cities Invitational: Bullard went 5-2 behind all-tournament selections Pookie Gonzalez and Skyler Thomas to finish third in the Silver Division of the 53-team event in Chula Vista.
Stanford Invitational: Clovis West's Clay Celem (16:12) placed ninth in boys Division I and the Golden Eagles' Katie Kass (19:00) was 16th and Taylor Sanson (19:16) 22nd in the girls seeded division over 5-kilometers (3.1 miles).
Tulare's Jesse Salgado (16:23) was 27th in boys D-II; the Redskins' Celina Vera (18:51) 10th in girls D-II; and Roosevelt's Rudy Lopez (16:49) 42nd to help his team to 18th place in boys D-III.
