Bulldogs women's basketball team to host social
Fresno State women's basketball fans have a chance to meet the team at the annual ice cream social at 6 p.m. Thursday at the University House, Van Ness Boulevard and Holland Avenue.
The men's and women's teams take the Save Mart Center court at 7 p.m. Oct. 25 for Red & White Hoops Night.
Monsters to open at Showcase
The Tier II Fresno Monsters open their season against Topeka at the North American Hockey League Showcase today in Blaine, Minn.
Fresno will play four games in four days against out-of-division opponents, facing Austin on Thursday, Coulee Region on Friday and New Mexico on Saturday.
All games will be live online at nahl.fasthockey.com. Fresno's games are at 6:15 p.m., except New Mexico at 11 a.m.
The Monsters' home opener is at 7:25 p.m. Oct. 28 against Kenai River at Selland Arena.
