An all-Tulare semifinal today will have the Redskins play Tulare Western, which had Jordan Maquinalez score 14 of his 19 points, including four consecutive free throws, in the fourth quarter of a 71-69 thriller over Reedley.
Bullard posted two convincing wins at the Clovis Elks Christmas Classic. Mike Hill scored nine of his 11 points in the fourth quarter as the Knights outscored Sunnyside 24-10 to win 73-56.Then they had 14 players score in an 84-51 rout of Beyer-Modesto.
Edison placed five players in double-figure scoring, led by Aaron Williams' 14, in a 76-59 Clovis Elks rout of Hoover.
A steal and free throw in the final minute by sophomore Khameal Mason proved to be the difference as Clovis West improved to 2-0 at the Santa Barbara Holiday Classic with a 45-44 win over San Marcos. Denzel Johnson added 19 points for the Golden Eagles.
Daniel Hernandez scored 18 points as Monache advanced in the other half of the Polly bracket with a 58-44 win over Washington. The Marauders will play Delano, which received 18 points and nine rebounds from Chris Sterling in a 65-52 win over El Diamante.
Mt. Whitney rebounded from a double-overtime, first-round loss to Delano in the Polly by dominating Garces 80-63 behind a 23-point outburst from junior forward Will Nelson.
Junior guard Nick Ball scored 16 points as Memorial escaped with a 52-48 win over Hanford at the Clovis Elks Christmas Classic. The Bullpups, coming off a 41-point loss to Buchanan, outscored Memorial 17-8 in the fourth quarter, when Brad Simas scored nine of his 16 points.
Brianna Watson scored 16 of her 26 points in the second half, leading Clovis past Cloverdale 48-40 in the consolation round of the West Coast Jamboree in Antioch.
Sophomore Brittaney Allison scored 22 points as Buchanan raced past Pinole Valley 64-49 at the Jamboree.
Clovis East followed a 38-point win Monday at the Jamboree with an 86-66 throttling of Heritage-Brentwood as Erikka Banks scored 38, making 14 of 15 free throws.
