Anyone who has graduated from Clovis High School is invited to a three-day All-Class Reunion set for June 3-5 in Old Town Clovis.
Following tradition established 90 years ago by the Clovis High School class of 1936, all-class gatherings are held every decade in years ending in 6, said CHS Alumni Association past president Tom Wright.
A Friday night rally in Clovis Veterans Memorial District will kick off the weekend’s events on June 3. A parade through Old Town Clovis will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 4, followed by a Clovis High School faculty reception and the presentation of Distinguished Alumni Awards.
Several alumni have been nominated for the awards, including Kate T. Scott (class of 2001), a Bay Area radio and television sports commentator, and Jenna Prandini (class of 2011), a world-class sprinter currently training for the 2016 Olympics.
A vintage car show for alumni will be held Saturday in the park adjacent to the Clovis Veterans Memorial District building. An all-ages dance will complete the evening Saturday night in the CVMD building.
Individual class gatherings will be held throughout the weekend.
A memorial service will be held Sunday morning inside the CVMD theater. Its keynote speaker is alumnus Kevin Cookingham, and an alumni choir directed by alumnus Dan Lindstrom will perform.
As many as 10,000 people have attended previous reunions, organizers said.
“Come out and have a good time,” Wright said.
The goal of the all-class reunion is to raise funds for two $1,000 Clovis High School Alumni Association scholarships per year for the next decade. Registration is $25, which covers all activities.
