Easter Egg Hunt
City of Clovis Recreation will hold its annual Community Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m., March 28 at Bicentennial Park on Sunnyside Avenue between Herndon and Sierra.
There will be games, activities, a visit from the Easter Bunny, followed by an Easter Egg hunt. There will be three age categories for the hunt: Toddler to age 3, ages 4-7 and ages 8-12. A few lucky winners will find an egg with an Easter basket prize inside.
The event is free but participants need to bring their own basket.

UPS honors Clovis drivers
Three UPS drivers from Clovis were recently inducted into UPS’s prestigious Circle of Honor for achieving 25 years of accident-free driving.
Trent King, Frank Krohn and Rickey Sauls are among 138 drivers from California that were inducted.
California has 722 active Circle of Honor drivers with a combined 20,234 years of accident-free driving. Peter Pavlian of San Bernardino is the state’s senior safe driver, with 44 years of accident-free driving under his belt. There are 11,198 total UPS drivers in California
Globally, 7,878 active UPS drivers are members of the Circle of Honor. Collectively they’ve racked up more than 221,000 years and more than 5.3 billion safe miles during their careers. That’s enough miles to travel to Mars and back 36 times.
“My thanks go to all of them for their dedication and focus, and for the countless lives they’ve saved,” said Jerry Mattes, UPS West Region president.
Big Hat Days April 11, 12
The Table Mountain Casino BIG Hat Days, a Clovis Chamber of Commerce Event, will be held April 11 and 12 in Old Town Clovis. Vendors will fill 11 blocks with a wide array of merchandise including art, home goods, and children’s toys. There will also be a variety of food vendors selling everything from kettle corn to corn dogs. To entertain the children there will be Happy Day Pony Rides on Seventh Street and the Great American Petting Zoo on 4th Street.
The event will be held 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, April 11 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, April 12.
