On Thursday, Nov. 20, the streets of Old Town Clovis will be transformed into an “enchanted wonderland” from 5 to 8 p.m., as Business Organization of Old Town Clovis, along with participating merchants, host the 11th annual “One Enchanted Evening.”
This special event — established originally to express customer appreciation, but has evolved into a festive and old-fashioned kick off to the holidays — will feature streets decorated with glowing luminaries and festive lights. Visitors will enjoy free horse-drawn carriage rides and musical performances from Jubilation Singers, Gold Note Chorus, Voices United, Ovation Girls Choir and Two for the Road. Complementary refreshments will be provided courtesy of participating Old Town Clovis businesses.
There will be a one-block street closure between 4th and 5th on Pollasky. The street will be filled with collectors’ vintage cars from around the valley and the sponsor for the event, Bank of the Sierra, will have members of their staff serving hot chocolate at the arbor mid-block. For six consecutive years, Bank of the Sierra has sponsored "One Enchanted Evening," making it possible to offer the free horse-drawn carriage rides for the evening.
As many as 40 merchants are participating, offering that many chances to win the traditional prize of Old Town Scrip for winners! Prizes of $350, $250 and $100 will be given to three lucky winners!
Never miss a local story.
