A Fresno man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of his brother-in-law in Clovis last year, police said Friday.
Tyrone Parker, 22, is accused of killing Dewayne Young on March 20 after a disturbance at a family gathering, police said.
Young's body was found in the road on the 3000 block of Ezie Avenue, in the Tarpey Village area south of Gettysburg Avenue and west of Fowler Avenue.
Parker was arrested Feb. 3 when he went to the Salinas Police Department to resolve a ticket issue. Officers became aware of the arrest warrant for Parker and took him into custody.

On Monday, he was transferred to the Fresno County Jail, where he is being held without bail.
Clovis police investigators learned that Young was involved in a domestic disturbance with his wife, Parker's sister, at the family gathering. Witnesses told police that Parker pulled out a handgun and shot Young multiple times shortly after 3 a.m.
A woman and eight children -- ages 1 to 14 -- lived at the home, but no one inside the house was injured, police said.
