Finding the right running shoe can be a difficult feat.
Sole 2 Soul Sports, a Visalia store that opened a second location in Fresno on July 22, offers custom-fit running shoes, which are specially made for a customer's arch height and running style.
The specialty running store sells running shoes and apparel for different types of exercise.
General Manager Ted Nunes said properly fitted shoes help prevent injuries like shin-splints. He said the store hopes to start running and walking groups in Fresno, as they have done in Visalia.
"It's never too late to start running," Nunes said. "We really get excited about having beginning runners finishing their first 5k."
Sole 2 Soul Sports at 5052 N. Palm Ave. joins other sporting goods stores in Fresno such as Sierra Running Company, REI and New Balance.

She has taught yoga for more than three years.
