Grocery store donates to Visalia food pantry
Food 4 Less has donated $23,000 of food items to the Visalia Emergency Aid Council food pantry. The donation is the first delivery the pantry has received since the holiday season.
Fresno teachers get Rotary Club honor
The Rotary Club of Fresno honored teacher Diane Franklin from Duncan Polytechnicial High School and teacher Elica Gutierrez from Jefferson Elementary as Distinguished Educators.
Madera student wins scholarships
Liberty High School student Axia Vang received $11,000 in scholarships at the State Capitol. Vang, of Madera was one of 190 California high school seniors to win this year's $1,000 Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship. Vang will be attending Fresno State University to study medicine.
Rodeo Association elects new board
Clovis Rodeo Association has elected its 2012 Board of Directors: Ron Dunbar, president; Chuck Rigsbee, vice president; Susan Frantzich, secretary and Jeff Witte, treasurer. Additional board members elected include: Lynn Armstrong, Vern Barkman, Joe Billalbam, Gary Bower, Lynn Button, Larry Cowger, Ken Elliott, Vince Genco, Greg Gillard, Joan Lassley, Dan Rigsbee, Radar Ryan, Mike Spears and Mark Thompson.

Students, carousel benefit from Rotary
