Two gang members were arrested Saturday morning after a drive-by shooting Friday night in Clovis, the Clovis Police Department said.
The two allegedly shot at an apartment complex on the 1200 block of Harvard Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Friday, said Clovis police Cpl. Vince Weibert.
A witness said the shots came from a dark Acura that sped off toward Clovis Avenue.
Investigators determined that the targets of the shooting were several gang members at a party, Weibert said.
No one at the party was struck by gunfire.
During the investigation, an officer spotted a dark-colored Acura about 1 a.m. Saturday.
Soon after spotting the vehicle a few miles from the shooting, officers arrested two 19-year-olds on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, shooting at an inhabited residence and committing a crime in furtherance of gang activity.
Weibert said the shooting was gang motivated.
