Yosemite post office gets new siding
The Yosemite Village Post Office is receiving new sugar pine wood shingle siding as part of Yosemite National Park's efforts to maintain and restore historic buildings, officials said.
Once the siding is installed, crews will paint the shingles dark brown to match other buildings in Yosemite Village, said park spokeswoman Kari Cobb.
The post office, which was completed in 1925, is open year-round and is where park employees receive their mail.
The Yosemite Post Office renovation was funded by the National Park Service.
