Fresno police arrested an 18-year-old Bulldog gang member of Fresno and retrieved a gun Friday afternoon, authorities said.
Sgt. Gary Beer said officers attempted to pull a vehicle over about 2:20 p.m. on the 4700 block of East Montecito Avenue. The man jumped out and ran into the backyard of a home, throwing a revolver onto a roof.
Police found the man in a woman's home after she called police and said that she had allowed a man to use her restroom, but he refused to leave her home.
The man was charged with being an armed felon, possessing a firearm in public and promoting gang activity.

3 accused in beer bottle attack on man
Tulare sheriff's deputies arrested two teens and a 26-year-old Visalia man after they hit a man over the head with a full beer bottle and took his shirt.
The man, who was not identified, was attacked at 8:45 p.m. Thursday near Henderson Avenue and Prospect Street, Porterville Police said. He was treated at Sierra View Hospital and released.
The three suspects were arrested by sheriff's deputies shortly after 9 p.m. in the Strathmore area and the man's shirt was recovered nearby. The three were booked into Tulare County Jail.
Burns to be sworn in as Kings Co. judge
Robert Shane Burns is scheduled to be sworn in on Monday as a Kings County Superior Court judge.
Burns, a graduate of Santa Clara Law School, has served as a deputy district attorney in Kings County for 16 years. He is filling a vacancy left by retired Judge Peter Schultz.
Fresno drivers face delays, lane closures
Motorists may experience delays in multiple areas of Fresno with upcoming lane closures.
Multiple lanes of Clovis Avenue south of Belmont Avenue will be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday for an underground water main project for the Fancher Creek development.
The eastbound lane on Bullard Avenue through the Blackstone Avenue intersection will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday for underground utility work.
The westbound lane on Shepherd Avenue between Friant Road and Perrin Avenue will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting Monday for a Pacific Gas & Electric Co. utility project. The project is expected to last four weeks.
O Street will be closed between Monterey Street and Butler Avenue Wednesday through Friday for improvements to the railroad crossing on O Street. Detours will be in place in both directions.
Kings Canyon north access to be closed
All crossroads accessing Kings Canyon Road from the north will be closed starting Monday when construction of the future four-lane expressway on Kings Canyon Road resumes after winter suspension, officials said.
Traffic will be detoured to Belmont Avenue to the north or Jensen Avenue to south. The detour is scheduled to last six months.
Kings Canyon Road will remain open throughout construction from Temperance Avenue to Academy Avenue.
Valley housing gets $275k HUD grant
The Fair Housing Council of Central California received a $275,000 grant Friday from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The council will use its grant to promote equal housing opportunities and detect and eliminate housing discrimination. The grant is funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Fair Housing Initiatives Program.
Madera Co. deputy Gonzales gets award
Madera County Sheriff's deputy Richard Gonzales has received the Officer of the Year award from the Kiwanis Club of Madera.
He was honored for his work during 2009. Gonzales worked for the Madera County Department of Corrections before becoming a deputy. He is assigned to the mountain patrol division, covering Raymond, Coarsegold, North Fork, Bass Lake, Ahwahnee and Oakhurst.
