An evacuation order was lifted Sunday for residents living near a wildfire burning near Pine Flat Lake in eastern Fresno County, Cal Fire said.
The Sunny Fire started at 2:44 p.m. Saturday near the boat-launch area between Pine Flat and Trimmer Springs Road, said Will Goodman, fire captain with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
By 7:40 Sunday, Cal Fire reported that the fire was 120 acres in size and 70 percent contained. There also is a road closure on Trimmer Springs Road, Cal Fire said.
Firefighters from the Kern County Fire Department also have been brought in to help with the blaze.
Fifty structures were threatened, but there was no word on damage to buildings or injuries.
