A traffic accident west of Selma Sunday morning killed two men when their vehicle erupted in flames.
California Highway Patrol Sgt. Del Carlo said shortly after 6 a.m., two men were driving their Nissan west on Nebraska Avenue when they were broadsided by a woman driving a Toyota Camry north on Peach Avenue in Fresno County.
Carlo said the woman did not stop at a designated stop sign as she traveled north and hit the two men, shoving them northward where they struck a power pole.
The two men were pronounced dead at the scene after their vehicle became engulfed in flames. Their identities were not available Sunday. The condition of the woman was unknown.
The crash knocked power out to the area, according to the CHP dispatch log.
