The Santa Rosa Rancheria Tachi Yokut Tribe, owner of Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino, has made donations in the name of fire relief.
The tribe donated a new fire engine worth $586,000 to Kings County and made a $5,000 donation to the Central Valley Red Cross.
The Central Valley Red Cross has been affected by many fires recently, including the Mineral Fire, Cedar Fire and Chimney Fire. Every dollar donated will go to residents who have had to evacuate because of wildfires.
“We want to help those who have been affected by the fires in our outlying communities,” Tachi Palace general manager Willie Barrios said. “Our firefighters are working day and night to get these contained, and Tachi Palace supports and appreciates all they do. We hope this donation will help those in need.”
In addition to the donation, the Santa Rosa Rancheria Yokut Tribe recently purchased a $586,000 Pierce Pump Fire Engine for Kings County.
Tachi Palace asks anyone who wishes to donate to the relief efforts to visit the Red Cross Central Valley website, www.redcross.org/local/california/central-california/local-chapters/central-valley
