    Steep terrain, high temperatures making full containment a challenge for the Mineral fire near Coalinga. The fire is burning near Highway 198 and Mineral Springs Road, about 8 miles west of Coalinga. More than 1,000 personnel are fighting the fire, which erupted Monday evening.
