Project Survival’s Cat Haven in Dunlap is appealing for donations due to unexpected veterinary bills, the arrival of three new wild cats and an investment in building two new cat enclosures.
The organization, which promotes the conservation and preservation of wild cats in outdoor habitats, said it’s investing significant time and money as it works to rescue six cats from Panama.
Cat Haven would like to continue its rescue work in addition to the conservation and education work it focuses on.
Cat Haven’s Tango the Cheetah is recovering after becoming ill, but the organization said months of veterinary visits, medications, medical tests and procedures have taken a financial toll.
Members of the public can send donations to Cat Haven through its website at www.cathaven.com.
