The Fresno County Public Library’s Central Library closed its parking lot on June 13 while it is being repaved. The parking lot is used often as a speedy shortcut in between N and O streets.
County Librarian Laurel Prysiazny says vehicles often came close to hitting parked cars or pedestrians, including children, despite speed bumps. There is also little room on site for service and delivery trucks to drop off items for the library.
The new parking lot will only be available for county and library vehicles after renovations.
