The Chimney Fire in Tulare County has been burning since June 1, consumed 1,826 acres and is 90 percent contained.
The wildfire was first reported to the Bureau of Land Management around 3:30 p.m. June 1 in the area of the Chimney Peak campground.
The structure threat was eliminated and there is no current threat to any buildings.
The Pacific Crest Trail and Nine Mile Road reopened June 4. Canebrake Road is still closed to ensure public and firefighter safety.

There are 522 personnel currently working to contain the fire. Fire officials hope to have the fire fully contained by June 7.
