Bear Mountain Branch Library in Squaw Valley is closed until further notice due to a broken water tank, according to Fresno County Public Library officials.
Due to lack of water and the risk of fire during the hot and dry weather, Cal Fire has ordered the library closed until the 18,000-gallon water tank is replaced, said library officials. The library will still open as a polling location for the June 7 election, and portable bathrooms will be brought in for that event.
All holds will be available for pickup at the Reedley Branch library, and fines and fees will be waived during the closure. Limited services will be available from the Bookmobile, and that schedule can be accessed through the library’s website.
All other activities at the Bear Mountain branch will be canceled until further notice.
