A man from Delano riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle died Monday night after striking a utility pole’s support wire in Kern County, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash occurred on Highway 155, the Garces Highway, at Browning Road about 9:40 p.m. The identity of the 28-year-old rider has not been released. Alcohol may be a factor in the collision, the CHP reported.
The rider was eastbound on Highway 155 when he drifted to the right, went across a dirt roadway shoulder and hit the wire. The rider was thrown from the motorcycle and landed on the shoulder.
