The Fresno County District Attorney’s Office is hosting a regional summit on human exploitation and trafficking Thursday with a goal to combat child sex trafficking throughout the Central Valley and California.
With three of the nation’s 13 highest intensity child sex trafficking areas in California, the summit aims to develop a strategy to put an end to human trafficking by bringing together county leaders in child welfare, education, law enforcement and survivors to be a part of the special Blue Ribbon Commission.
The Summit is co-sponsored by the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office, the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office and Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission’s Central Valley Against Human Trafficking project.
The summit runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the EOC’s Nielsen Conference Center, 3110 W. Nielsen Ave., Fresno.
