A residential fire at a vacant home in central Fresno broke out around 8 p.m. Tuesday, fire spokesman Brad Driscoll said
The house, located near East Webster Avenue and North Fresno Street, had its windows boarded up with plexiglass, Driscoll said.
The home had been breached by vagrants, Driscoll said, but firefighters searched the home and determined no one was inside.
The fire caused damage to multiple rooms and parts of the attic.
Never miss a local story.
There were no civilian or firefighter injures, Driscoll said. A fire in December at a vacant home in east-central Fresno killed five people and injured a sixth person.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, Driscoll said.
