A Madera County landowner, M.C. Land Company, has been fined nearly $46,000 for its failure to meet regulations regarding waste water and permits with the state.
The Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board settled with M.C. Lands after the company failed to obtain required permits for discharging waste from irrigated croplands.
David Ross and Renae Braaksma-Ross of Kern County were also fined $42,900 for unpermitted activities on their properties in the southern San Joaquin Valley.
