A garage being used as a home caught fire but no one was hurt, the Hanford Fire Department said Thursday.
About 10 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters went the 200 block of East 10th Street and found a detached garage on fire.
Downed power lines and the threat of more downed lines got in the way and the fire spread to adjacent structures, but firefighters quickly stopped the advance.
The cause is under investigation. The garage was a total loss valued at $24,163.
