A disoriented man found walking on a freeway was taken to a Visalia hospital for treatment of injuries, and several hours later the CHP found his crashed motorcycle and is now seeking witnesses.
About 2 a.m. Tuesday, the CHP received a call about a pedestrian on Highway 198 near Shirk Drive in Visalia.
Christian Clark, 21, of Lemoore, appeared to have been in an accident or the victim of assault, but he said he had not been in an accident and assumed he was near the Naval Air Station, the CHP said.
He was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center.
About 5:30 p.m., the CHP received a call about a possible collision near Highways 198 and 99 and found a crashed motorcycle registered to Clark. Officers later learned he had major injuries but is in stable condition.
The CHP is seeking witnesses to the motorcycle collision. The public is asked to call Officer D. Garay at (559) 734-6767 during regular business hours.
