A man and a woman sustained major injuries Tuesday morning in a motorcycle crash in the Porterville area, the California Highway Patrol reported.
About 9:50 a.m., Bradley Maddox, 31, of Red Bluff was southbound on Road 252 approaching Avenue 120 on a 2014 Harley-Davidson. The CHP said Maddox was behind a row of cars and attempted to pass them within 100 feet of the intersection when one car made a left turn onto Avenue 120. Maddox turned to avoid the car, drove into a field and crashed.
Maddox was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center. His passenger, Lindsay Maddox, 31, was taken to Kaweah Delta Regional Medical Center in Visalia.
