You’re not the only one who can’t log into Yahoo! Mail right now
Yahoo! Mail’s servers experienced a major outage Saturday, leaving users locked out of their emails and reminding some about the ongoing issues at Yahoo!.
Yahoo! representatives on social media seemed to be aware of the problem and told people that the outage was being addressed. Despite attempts by Yahoo! Customer Care to give different options for users to log into their email, some users on Twitter showed signs of continued struggle – and anger.
“My mail has been down for nearly five hours on IOS! What gives???” tweeted Tobe Daranouvong.
Outage.report, a website that was tracking Yahoo’s mail server outage, reported as of about 11 p.m., 4,053 complaints were made in the U.S. Meanwhile, many still did not have access to their account Saturday night. The biggest problem for users was that they couldn’t log into their Yahoo email, the website reported.
Yahoo! Customer Care suggested people use the web or Yahoo Mail app to access their mail in the meantime. Twitter users reported that accessing their email through the app or web also didn’t work. Others said they simply refused to download the app.
@yahoomail can y’all get it together ! i have some important emails to check .

Ok, you can still use the Yahoo Mail app or mobile web in the meantime while we work with Apple to fix this.

Users were reporting the mail service telling them their password was invalid or that the IMAP server was not responding. And though the issues were reported for mail apps in Apple devices, some on Twitter said their Android devices were also seeing the same issues.
Apple Support also sent a tweet hours after users continued filing complaints on social media and said it was ready to help. “Let’s get to the bottom of this,” the support account tweeted. It asked users if their iPhones had the latest update.
Let’s get to the bottom of this. First, what happens when trying to reinstall the Yahoo Mail app? Also, is your device fully updated to iOS 11.2.5? Reach us in DM with the answers, and we’ll continue teaming up. https://t.co/GDrqU22YpT

The Yahoo! Mail outage seemed to go beyond the U.S. Users in several other countries, like the United Kingdom and Canada, were also experiencing technical difficulties. There was no clear timeline for when the email service would be up again.
