Women’s Chamber luncheon
Fresno County Women’s Chamber of Commerce will hold a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 27 at Wyndham Garden Fresno Airport, 5090 E. Clinton Way. Dr. Janette Freeman will speak on her “Four Secrets to Staying Peaceful During Stressful Times.” Registration is $20 or $5 without lunch.

Dress a Girl sewing day
Stitches for the Savior will hold “Dress a Girl Sewing Day” Feb. 24 at Campus Bible Church, 4710 N. Maple Ave. Materials and instruction will be provided to help you sew a dress for a girl in need. Three two-hour sessions will begin at 10 a.m. and the cost is $5.
Republicans to meet
Fresno County Republican Party will meet at 6 p.m. Feb. 12 at Der Manouel Insurance, 548 W. Cromwell Ave. Rob Poythress and Johnny Tacherra, state senate candidates for District 12, will speak.
CASA volunteers needed
CASA of Fresno and Madera Counties is seeking court-appointed volunteers to advocate in a courtroom for abused and neglected children in Fresno and Madera counties. Information sessions will be held at 6:15 p.m. Feb. 21 and 9 a.m. Feb. 24 at 2300 Tulare St., Suite 210.
Seeking doggie models
Fresno will hold its first haute couture dog fashion show during the Fresno Home & Garden Show on March 2-4 at the Fresno Fairgrounds, and you can sign your pooch up to participate for a $50 donation. Pet owners are encouraged to dress their dogs to reflect their personality and style. Proceeds will benefit the St. Francis Project, a community program assisting women with opportunities and resources to create positive changes in their lives.
