The driver of a pickup sustained major injuries early Thursday when the vehicle crashed and rolled repeatedly over several sets of railroad tracks in south Fresno, police reported.
The incident took place about 7 a.m. on Railroad Avenue south of Jensen Avenue. A police spokesman said the driver was northbound on Railroad when he left the roadway, drove through a depression and the pickup began tumbling an unknown number of times. It came to rest on the east side of the tracks. The man was pinned in the pickup and was cut free by firefighters. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
