A man who died after he drove his truck into oncoming traffic in Lindsay has been identified as Alejandro Ibarra, 25, of Lindsay, the Tulare County Coroner’s Office said Tuesday.
Police said the accident happened at 5 a.m. Monday near Highway 65 and Fresno Street.
Ibarra was driving south in a full-size pickup when he crossed into the northbound lane, sideswiped a minivan with six passengers and struck a smaller pickup.
Authorities are investigating whether he was impaired.

All were taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center in Visalia. The 19-year-old driver of the smaller pickup was listed in stable condition, while passengers in the minivan sustained critical and minor injuries, police said.
