A California bank has donated $150,000 to Terry’s House across from Community Regional Medical Center in downtown Fresno.
The donation from Rabobank, a Roseville-based community bank, will help with operations of the medical hospitality house for family members of critically ill or injured patients.
On Friday, the Rabobank Family Dining Area at Terry’s House was named in honor of the contribution.
The 17,000 square foot hospitality home is a place for families of the patients to stay, eat, sleep, cook and shower while they stay close to their loved one in the hospital. The home relies on gifts and contributions to operate.
“An irreplaceable asset, Terry’s House gives comfort and relief to patients, and their families and loved ones,” said Bob Dingler, executive vice president and director of the Food & Agribusiness division for Rabobank. “It is a privilege to continue our support through the Community Medical Foundation, which shares our commitment to providing Terry’s House with the resources it needs to warm people’s hearts year after year.”
The bank’s contribution is making a “difference in people’s lives when times are often at their toughest,” said Katie Zenovich, vice president of corporate development for the Community foundation.
Since Terry’s House opened four years ago, it has had more than 3,200 families as guests from 42 states and 22 countries.
