The Fresno County Office of Education will hold the 32nd annual Fresno County History Day Saturday at the main campus of Fresno Pacific University.
This year’s theme, Leadership and Legacy in History, will allow 4th-12th grade students to create projects in areas such as science, politics, arts and education.
The project categories will include two dimensional displays, historical papers, websites, documentaries and performances.
The winners from each category will move on to the state competition May 8-9 in Rocklin with a chance to qualify for National History Day June 14-18 at the University of Maryland.
Projects will be judged on historical accuracy, adherence to rules and the quality of the presentation.
The public is invited to view projects from 12:45-2 p.m.
Fourth and 5th graders will have their award ceremony in the Fresno Pacific Event Center from 2-2:45 p.m. while junior and senior division awards will be held from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
