This year’s Miss Fresno County and Fresno’s Outstanding Teen were chosen during a pageant Saturday attended by more than 500 people at the Tower Theatre.
Fresno City College student Keri Loren Allred, 22, of Clovis was selected as the 2015 Miss Fresno County. She won a $3,000 scholarship and a $1,000 wardrobe and will advance to the Miss California competition at Fresno’s Saroyan Theatre in June. Allred has an interest in psychology and biology, and is employed at a child care and preschool. She also volunteers with the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization.
University High School student Audrey Elaine Kachadourian, 15, of Fresno was selected as Fresno’s Outstanding Teen 2015 and will receive a $1,000 scholarship. Audrey is trained in classical ballet and contemporary dance and her platform is “celebrating cultural diversity.”
A total of 18 women competed for the two titles. Thirteen women, ages 17 to 24, competed for the title of Miss Fresno County, and five teens, ages 13 to 17, competed for the title of Fresno’s Outstanding Teen.

Avery Grooms 17, of Fresno was named first runner-up in the teen division. For Miss Fresno County, Sunshine Lee, 18, of Fresno was named first runner-up, followed by Kaelyn McInnerney, 23, of Clovis and Alyssa Nelson, 19, of Fresno.
Pageant organizers said contestants learn about poise, confidence, interview skills and giving back to the community. They are judged in the areas of talent, interview, fitness, evening wear, and answering an on-stage question.
