A pickup smashed into a Clovis apartment Friday morning after a female driver in another vehicle allegedly ran a stoplight with her baby in the car, said Janet Stoll-Lee, spokeswoman for the Clovis Police Department.
Stoll-Lee said the woman was driving a silver Infiniti Q when she ran a stoplight around 9 a.m. along Peach Avenue and collided with the pickup traveling along Gettysburg Avenue. The impact of the crash sent the pickup, driven by a man, crashing into the wall of an apartment at 441 Gettysburg Ave.
No one was injured, except for the woman, who was bruised. As a precaution, she and her baby were transported to a hospital. No one involved in the crash was named.
Stoll-Lee said firefighters determined the damaged apartment is still “structurally sound.”
