Fresno will welcome some needed rain starting Friday night as storms make their way south across the Valley.
The Valley could collect about about 2 inches of rainfall overall as storm systems continue through Monday, according to the National Weather Service in Hanford.
A winter storm warning is also in effect from Yosemite to Kings Canyon through 4 p.m. Saturday. Elevations above 8,000 feet could get up to 2 feet of snow. Winds could gust to 35 to 40 mph with gusts to 75 mph at high elevations.
Saturday’s high in Fresno is expected to be 64 degrees with a low of 52, and winds are expected to blow as high as 25 mph. Sunday’s high will be 63 with a low of 49.
