The Sanger Fire Department unveiled two new ambulances on Thursday that officials say will provide a better overall patient experience for residents.
Spokesman Cody Dixon said the new “state-of-the-art” ambulances will replace two older models from 2001 and 2006. The 2015 Horton ambulances with a Freightliner chassis will patrol Sanger around the clock beginning sometime next week, Dixon said. A 2011 Horton model will work in reserve.
Dixon said the upgrade will allow for safer and more reliable emergency response services. The cost of the two new ambulances was $443,190.
