A vehicle on westbound Highway 198 near Road 152 crashed into a power pole about 2:30 p.m. Saturday, forcing lane closures, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash east of Visalia sheared the pole in half and caused nearby power lines to go down, closing Highway 198 for several hours.
The crash into the pole left about 185 customers without power, according to Southern California Edison. Power was expected to be restored around midnight.
