Haze and patchy fog is expected in the central San Joaquin Valley into next week.
In the Fresno area, widespread haze is expected into Saturday, turning to patchy fog by Saturday night, according to the National Weather Service. By Sunday, patchy fog should morph into haze and some sunny skies by the afternoon.
Brian Ochs, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service at Hanford, said recent fog has been lingering later that normal, sticking around until late morning or noon.
As a high pressure system persists overhead, the Valley has no forecast for rain over the next seven days, Ochs said Friday. “No big change in the weather system” is expected anytime soon. Motorists should be prepared for limited visibility while driving.
