Fresno State defensive backs graduate assistant Matt Lea posted a photo on Twitter of one of the players dressed up for Halloween as Dwayne Johnson. And guess who liked it?
Lea’s tweet on Sunday showed offensive lineman Syrus Tuitele dressed up as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, famed wrestler and actor. But this wasn’t the modern looking Johnson that Tuitele was trying to replicate. He went after the ’90s version, complete with turtleneck, thick silver chain and the legendary fanny pack.
The player even copied the raised eyebrow made famous by Johnson in his wrestling days.
People loved it. Including Johnson himself, who retweeted it on Tuesday to his 12.1 million followers with the caption: “Nailed. It.”
At last count, the tweet had nearly 12,000 likes. It also prompted a few copy cats to share their versions of the 1990s Rock.
