A Girl Scout is giving walking tours of downtown Fresno public art that’s five decades decades older than she is.
Miranda Deis, 12, a cadette with Troop 2385, created the tour for her Silver Award, the highest honor for a Girl Scout her age.
“I love art and my community, and decided to make the biggest difference by combining the two,” Miranda said.
The tour travels through the Mural District and along the newly reopened Fulton Street, which features art installed when the stretch was transformed into a mall in the 1960s. Miranda also created MAD’s (that’s her initials) Downtown Art Guide for Kids for her Silver Award project.
Never miss a local story.
