Fresno police are investigating a road rage incident in central Fresno.
The incident occurred about 11:30 a.m. at Palm and Dakota avenues.
The driver of a red Acura was southbound on Palm Avenue approaching the railroad tracks, north of Dakota Avenue, when he may have cut off a white SUV with black rims. This appeared to anger the SUV driver, who pulled out what looked like a handgun and pointed it at the Acura driver.
The Acura driver accelerated over a small hill, only to find that a woman driving a black Acura was making a left turn in his path. The cars collided at high-speed, while the white SUV made a U-turn and went north on Palm Avenue.
Never miss a local story.
Scanner reports indicate that the SUV driver pulled out a gun and said that if he didn’t have a child in the car he would have shot the other motorist.
One person had injuries that were not severe and was taken to Clovis Community Medical Center.
