A woman was in critical condition after she was struck by a train in central Fresno on Sunday, police Lt. Joe Gomez said.
At 1:34 p.m., police were dispatched to near Divisadero and G streets where a woman, 45, was had been walking back and forth across the tracks when she was struck and dragged under a freight train.
Gomez said the man that she was with warned her about the train approaching. However, the woman was not paying attention and thought the train was in the middle of the tracks, so she continued to go back and forth.
She was found with no visible injuries, but she has a broken arm and possibly has other fractures, Gomez said. She was sent to Community Regional Medical Center.
