Almost 400 Pacific Gas and Electric customers south of Millerton Lake lost power Saturday, as temperatures soared toward triple digits, but they were back in business by early evening.
At 3:39 p.m., PG&E reported that 396 customers near Auberry and Millerton roads were experiencing the outage. Gradually, they were brought back online, and by 5:28 p.m. full power was restored, said Jacqueline Ratto of PG&E.
The cause was unknown.
CalFire was battling a 5-acre grass fire at 15687 Aubbery Road about the same time, but it is not known if the incidents were related.
Flames were contained and PG&E was on the scene there to see if any of their lines or equipment was affected.
