The man whose body was discovered along railroad tracks in Kingsburg has been identified as Randy Green, 29, of Fresno, Fresno County Sheriff’s spokesman Tony Botti said Saturday.
Green is believed to have been struck by a train, the Fresno County Coroner’s Office confirmed Friday.
The injuries were consistent with Green being hit by a train and deemed to be accidental, said Botti.
It’s not known how the fatal injuries occurred. Botti said the man could have fallen from a train, jumped from the moving train or was attempting to jump on a moving train.

Green’s body was discovered about 9:30 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of Simpson and Draper avenues in downtown Kingsburg along the Union Pacific Railroad tracks.
Police initially theorized that he was possibly struck by a train, but the timing of the incident was unclear.
Fresno County Sheriff’s homicide detectives also investigated whether he was the victim of foul play, but Botti said detectives eventually concluded it was accidental and involved a train.
