A man drowned Friday in a backyard pool at his home in northeast Fresno, Fresno police Lt. Stephen Viveros said.
Police were called by the man’s father at 4:16 p.m. to a house at 6557 N. Fourth St., not far from St. Agnes Medical Center, where they found a 55-year-old man on the bottom of a pool.
Fire and police arrived and CPR was performed. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have yet to identify the man.
The drowning is believed to have been accidental. It was unknown if the man had a medical condition that might have been a contributing factor, Viveros said.
