A John Deere crane was bent and damaged after it crashed into a railroad bridge Saturday on Highway 99, just south of Belmont Avenue.
Caltrans said traffic was backed up about four miles, and drivers were advised to use an alternate routes.
The crash was reported just before 8 a.m. The roadway was cleared a few hours later after the crash closed two lanes. Railroad officials had been called to check the tracks.
The big rig that was pulling the crane came to a stop just after the railroad bridge. Its wooden bed was cracked.
The California Highway Patrol said there no injuries from the accident.
